Etc.venues is going global – where’s it heading?
Venue giant etc.venues, which has 15 venues across the UK, is headed for global expansion. The venue portfolio will venture into the American and European markets in a new partnership with US investors Gencom and Benchmark, a global hospitality company.

Having been impressed with the latest contemporary conference and events spaces from the group at the iconic County Hall, we’re excited to see what other urban destination venues it’ll help create.

Alastair Stewart, managing director of etc.venues, said: ‘In just 10 years we’ve grown almost five-fold, and with the backing of UK private equity funds, far exceeded our own expectations. It’s given us the confidence to now take our venue model to a broader stage.’

According to Alex Cabañas, CEO of Benchmark, there were several important trends in travel and real estate that influenced this new partnership. He said consumer preferences are trending towards experiential travel, on-demand services and amenities, and collaborative spaces. This mix-use approach will be apparent in the venues the two partners will operate.

etc.venues will also continue to expand in London with several new locations in the pipeline – we can’t wait to see what the team has got up its sleeves. Enquire about its existing portfolio using the button below.
