Meeting Rooms & Conference Venues

London's not short of conference venues and meetings rooms. So, we've curated a list of some of the best the city has to offer. Whether you're looking to host a small group in a boardroom, take over an entire conference venue or set up a presentation.

Updated on 07 November 2019

The bread and butter of corporate event organisers, meeting rooms and London conference venues are a must-have in your list. This is where SquareMeal excels, and with this list of London’s top conferencing and meeting specialists, you’ll see why. There are venues in this list to suit all hiring needs and, of course, budgets.

From product launches at a historic livery hall or institution to full-blown exhibitions at a congress or convention centre, there’s a venue for you. More often than not you’ll find it in a central London location. Don’t forget that some meeting venues and conference venues have bags of character and many have the facilities and space to host a memorable wedding reception or a seasonal office party event.

Church House Westminster

Church House Westminster

Dean's Yard , Westminster, London, SW1P 3NZ

In tranquil Dean’s Yard, next to Westminster Abbey, this Grade II-listed building was a stand-in base for the House of Lords during WWII. Today, it offers a wide range of event spaces, blending original character (oak panelling, raw stone, feature windows) with advanced technology – its upgraded Assembly Hall features a 4K projection system. That sense of occasion required for awards ceremonies and gala dinners is found here in abundance.

Asia House

Asia House

63 New Cavendish Street , Marylebone, London, W1G 7LP

This Grade II-listed Georgian townhouse in Marylebone features interiors designed by neoclassical architects Robert and James Adam, with pretty signature touches such as filigree plasterwork and inset classical paintings. The three Fine Rooms, Hutchison Room and Library make elegant, Regency-style settings for dinners, conferences and receptions. Elsewhere, the more modern Gallery has been designed as an exhibition space and can be hired separately.

Royal Horticultural Halls

80 Vincent Square, Westminster, London, SW1P 2PE

On a leafy square in Victoria, a pair of Grade II-listed buildings make up the Royal Horticultural Halls. Built in 1904, The Lindley Hall has recently hosted luxury car shows and major product launches. Gala dinners, conferences and exhibitions are also popular options. As for the mod cons, electronic blinds make near blackout possible. The art deco Lawrence Hall suits exhibitions, conferences and dinner-dances, and is available for private hire.

IET London: Savoy Place

IET London: Savoy Place

2 Savoy Place , Covent Garden, London, WC2R 0BL

The refurbished Savoy Place offers increased capacity and cutting-edge tech. We like the idea of the Kelvin Lecture Theatre – with its original mahogany panelling – for presentations and product launches. Check out the Turing Lecture Theatre upstairs for a more contemporary feel. Our favourite spaces are the Riverside Room and Maxwell Library, which have fine views over the Thames. The Johnson Roof Terrace is made for summer parties.

Grand Connaught Rooms

Grand Connaught Rooms

61 - 65 Great Queen Street , Holborn, London, WC2B 5DA

Few places in London match the Grand Connaught Rooms for opulence. A bevy of event spaces are split over five floors, from the headline Grand Hall to a string of well-appointed meeting rooms. The former’s soaring ceiling and ornate interiors make a big impact for awards ceremonies, while the adjoining Balmoral suits large-scale standing events. Smaller groups will prefer the penthouse and also its adjoining modern-feel terrace, which offers fine views.

Camden House

London Camden Triangle, Camden Lock Market, Chalk Farm, London, NW1 8AB

This 2018 new opening captures all of the most enduring modern event trends under one rectangular roof. Divided into zones, rather than rooms, Camden House is an airy, daylight-flooded, easy-access blank canvas. Even the venue’s central bar subdivides, giving its largest sub-space a private bar to go with its private entrance. That said, Zone 3’s biggest feature is probably its retractable roof. In all three zones, bi-folding walls and doors soundproof smaller events. For celebrations, the 2:30am license is worth noting.
