If you’re looking to make a statement with your next event, how about holding it in one of London’s most striking and recognisable landmarks? When built, the Barbican was one of the first Brutalist buildings of such scale in the world, making it immediately iconic.

Within the Barbican you will find a range of spaces which come together to make Europe’s largest arts and conference venue, boasting world-class facilities. The tiered Barbican Hall (which comes with a gargantuan capacity for 1950 people) and the Barbican Theatre have good sight lines, fine acoustics and adjoining foyers for musical performances, presentations and large-scale conferences. Three auditoria are also on offer, with adjacent conference suites should you need additional space or prefer a different layout.

For screenings and product launches there is a cinema room that can seat up to 280 people, which brings a sense of occasion and a good hit of drama to proceedings. Elsewhere, a trio of banqueting rooms can be used together for drinks receptions and dinners.

One of the most popular spaces has to be the beautiful Conservatory Room, which is one of London’s best kept secrets. A real oasis in the heart of the city, this space holds hundreds of lush, tropical plants sheltered under its glass roof to make a bright, outdoor-feeling space that can be used at any time of the year, whatever the weather. 

For eco-conscious event planners there is also the added benefit of the Barbican taking sustainability seriously.
