Bar Kroketa Soho is the original restaurant of the multi-site chain Bar Kroketa, which brings the beloved Spanish croqueta to the forefront. This easy breezy spot occupies a small corner of Soho, offering a cosy, casual setting for tapas-style small plates and ice-cold beer.
Situated in the middle of Soho, Bar Kroketa is a pocket-sized place in the beating heart of the city. It’s the kind of restaurant that’s best for intimate occasions - we’re thinking of small-scale dos, cocktail and canape parties, and relaxed drinks receptions. A long central bar runs the length of the room, with high bar stools and a handful of tables. The bar is well-stocked with bottles of fine wine and the space is decorated with vintage knick-knacks, transporting you straight to a Spanish pintxo bar.
Bar Kroketa Soho offers full venue hire, with capacity for up to 65 seated or 80 guests standing - the perfect size for landmark birthdays, baby showers and intimate drinks parties.
Of course, if you’re hosting an event at Bar Kroketa, you have to order some of its famous croquetas. There’s loads to choose from, including king prawn and aioli, chicken and mustard, black squid ink, and sweet potato with spicy shallot. These bite-sized nibbles are a great addition to a party, allowing guests to mingle with a drink in one hand and an authentic Spanish snack in the other.
If you want your guests to leave well-fed, there’s a separate menu for more substantial small plates, like deep fried guindilla peppers, spiced lamb cigars and honey glazed crab toasties. Simply speak to the staff about what you want your event to look like and they will ensure there is the food to match.
Since you’re in Soho’s version of Spain, you might as well enjoy an aperitivo or two! From fresh white wine, to natural cider and Spanish cherry, there’s a whole host of delicious drinks to get stuck into.
