This bright new venue with oh-so-cool, industrial brickwork and exposed industrial ducting married with covetable banquettes has all the virtues of a first rate Xmas venue. The food is arrestingly flavourful – including some masterful yuletide twists such as garam masala mince pie naan, served with cinnamon ice cream - and cocktails, devised by Tony Conigliaro, add festive cheer. All the while, the open kitchen provides theatre and vibe in equal measure.
What perhaps marks this out is the flexibility of the venue: long tables in the main room work perfectly for groups, a unique centrally located mezzanine ‘cage’ makes a bold statement for semi-private dining and, if you take over the whole venue, there is ample space for pre-dinner receptions, seated dinners and dancing all rolled into one.
