Found just metres from Hyde Park, The Berkeley blends five-star service with lavishly appointed event spaces. When it comes to celebrating the most important day of your life, The Berkeley is licensed to hold wedding ceremonies and civil partnerships. The hotel only ever holds one event per day, which means your nuptials will have their undivided attention.
Perfect suited to glamorous affairs, The Berkeley’s headline event space is its Ballroom, which features mirrored ceilings and natural light pouring through floor-to-ceiling windows. The Ballroom can host up to 250 seated guests for a wedding reception, where guests can dine from an event menu which includes the likes of lavender and honey roast duck breast, or miso roasted Atlantic cod.
For more intimate ceremonies, we’re fans of the chic Belgravia Room, which can accommodate 50 guests for a seated dinner. The Belgravia Room adjoins the Ballroom so can be used as a break-out area or a space for pre-dinner cocktails and canapés. The Wilton Room and The Knightsbridge Room are better suited to more intimate celebrations, accommodating 30 and 14 respectively for dinner.
Weddings at The Berkeley set themselves apart from the competition thanks to the team’s willingness to make your dreams a reality, however out of the box they may be. The in-house wedding team loves a challenge and pride themselves on making things happen, with just a few examples of their miracle working including snow in July, a 10-tier cake, an indoor forest, wall-to-wall white and a monogrammed wedding dress.
Of course, the most obvious perk of celebrating your union in a hotel is the built-in accommodation – The Berkeley offers discounted rates on rooms for your guests, while if your wedding party is larger than 50 people, you and your spouse will enjoy a complimentary suite on your wedding night.
