In July, Ministry of Sound will open its exclusive new members club and collaborative workspace, The Ministry. Specifically aimed at professionals from the music, media, culture and tech industry, the venue sits within a vast Victorian warehouse on Southwark’s Borough Road.

The modern workspace-meets-members hub features four floors of offices and shared working areas with meeting spaces, soundproof studios, and an immersive tech suite. Alongside this, there’s a 70ft bar, full-service restaurant, private dining rooms, a 36-seater cinema, a large event space and outdoor terrace (of course).

Channelling the needs of food-aware creatives, the restaurant’s menu will focus heavily on good-quality, locally-sourced, organic ingredients. The all-natural theme will aim to deliver simple, tasty and wholesome portions that emphasise a healthier spin, without sacrificing on flavour. The menu will change daily based on seasons, but at least 30% of it will be vegan or vegetarian.

So why is it exclusive to the creative crowd? Lohan Presencer, chairman of Ministry of Sound, said: ‘The people we grew up with are now the founders and CEOs of start-ups and established businesses. The Ministry is for these people, for independent creatives who light the sparks that become cultural wildfire.

‘The Ministry will be a stark contrast to the generic glass box offices, bored receptionists, bad coffee and gratuitous beer taps which have become synonymous with bland co-working spaces around the world.’
