There’s certainly no shortage of festive spirit at The Bloomsbury Hotel this year, with each event space decked out in traditional decor and refreshed dishes that celebrate the season.

Christmas at Bloomsbury Hotel venue hire

Each of the menu packages are named after a prominent local from the 1920s – when Bloomsbury was home to a number of artists and writers that were as famous for their parties as they were for their works.

Virgina’s Classic Christmas Menu (Woolfe that is) starts things off at £85pp and includes three courses, two glasses of sparkling wine, half a bottle of wine, and a DJ, plus mince pies and crackers thrown in. We like the sound of gin-cured gravlax on Guinness bread before cinnamon-spiced duck breast with cavola nero.

Christmas at Dalloway Terrace - venue hire

Opting for Vita Sackville’s Soiree Menu (£105pp) will swap the sparkling wine for a seasonal cocktail and give you bottomless wine throughout the meal.

For a really decadent feast though, Lady Ottoline (£130pp) is your pick. Picture consommé of Scottish lobster, roast turbot with chanterelles and champagne foam, followed by port poached pear with a scoop of salted caramel ice cream.

The Seamus Heaney Library can seat up to 30 diners, while the Queen Mary and George V Halls are better suited to larger groups of up to 130 seated. Plus the heated Dalloway Terrace can seat 30 and will be home to a winter installation.
