The K Club is a five-star hotel, set in 550-acres of parkland on a mile-long private stretch of the River Liffey. The restored 19th-century mansion is home to two 18-hole Championship golf courses: the Palmer Ryder course (used for the 2006 Ryder Cup) is hailed as one of Europe’s greatest. Away from the greens, there are nine event spaces. The largest is the Legacy Suite, a grand ballroom that can host conferences for 500. For smaller gatherings, we like the Library, a smart wood-panelled space with original fireplaces and oil paintings. Teambuilding activities on site can include hurling, nail banging and wheelbarrow racing and there are 137 bedrooms in total.
