Atop a former department store in Kensington, the Roof Gardens is long established as a west London destination in its own right. Transformed by Sir Richard Branson in the 1980s, Virgin still runs the venue today and winter is no barrier to enjoying this verdant venue in full. For the Christmas party season, a large, glass marquee goes up in the Tudor Garden. Heated and carpeted, it increases indoor capacities and keeps everyone toasty, while still giving guests a full sense of place. Festive lunches and evening parties are both options, with food and drink elements included in the price. For smaller groups – of 10+ – who want to tack onto a bigger atmosphere, there’s also a shared parties option.
