The pretty market town of Andover is found in the heart of the Test Valley in Hampshire and is probably most famous for its RAF base. Opened after WW1, RAF Andover provides most of the town’s employment and is also now the site of the RAF Staff College. Andover town centre is a picturesque area complete with narrow side streets and a great High Street. High street names feature heavily in terms of both shops and restaurants but head out of town into the surrounding countryside and you’ll find a smattering of delightful country pubs. There are some beautiful villages within the Andover area too, some offering superb dining choices ranging from intimate restaurants to traditional pub kitchens.
