The Orangery TCR in Soho offers a unique dining experience, bringing farm-to-table cooking into the city through its on-site hydroponic vertical farm. Surrounded by herbs, leaves and vegetables cultivated beneath the restaurant, guests dine amongst the produce that shapes the menu, creating an immersive setting. The restaurant focuses on modern British cooking with a seasonal approach, with most of the produce harvested directly from the underground vertical farm. Here, around 35,000 plants are grown pesticide-free, giving the kitchen access to exceptionally fresh ingredients throughout the year.
The setting at The Orangery TCR reinforces that connection to the food. Rather than floral arrangements, tables are styled with chard leaves, herbs and greenery grown on site, while planting runs throughout the dining room. In the evening, softly glowing lamps, cushioned seating and round wooden tables create a cosy, atmospheric feel.
The Orangery TCR'S menus evolve throughout the day. Breakfast includes dishes such as The Orangery full breakfast, eggs Florentine or Royale, and bircher muesli with red berries. Lunch focuses on lighter, produce-led plates, from split pea hummus with herb oil to panzanella salad with Isle of Wight tomatoes. Dinner expands on the same seasonal approach with a broader menu, alongside set menus and feast-style sharing menus designed for larger groups.
Saturday brunch at The Orangery introduces more indulgent dishes, while the chef’s table experience offers a more immersive option for special occasions, with dishes such as fillet of beef with horseradish yoghurt and Cornish halibut with chard leek fondue. Drinks include wines, beers, and cocktails, with options such as basil and peach gimlets and amaretto and sage sour spritzes, made using botanicals grown in the on-site hydroponic farm. In the heart of London’s West End, The Orangery is a must-visit for food lovers seeking sustainability, creativity, and a touch of green in the city.
