Private dining at The Orangery TCR in Soho offers something far more immersive than a traditional private dining room, with guests eating surrounded by the produce that shapes the menu itself. Hidden within the restaurant’s underground hydroponic farm, the chef’s table seats up to 16 guests and creates an intimate setting for special occasions, milestone birthdays and smaller gatherings.
Set amongst rows of growing herbs and vegetables, the private dining area at The Orangery TCR centres around a single long banquet table with crisp white linen and soft neutral seating. Greenery, herbs and rhubarb leaves replace traditional floral arrangements, while the surrounding farm creates a calm, atmospheric backdrop.
The Orangery's private dining menus are curated by the chefs using produce grown on site, celebrating seasonal modern British cooking with a strong plant-led focus. Guests booking private dining at The Orangery can choose from sample menus or create a bespoke offering tailored to the occasion and dietary requirements, with optional wine pairings available. Sharing-style feast menus are popular for groups, beginning with dishes such as sourdough with whipped butter and split yellow pea hummus with chia seed crackers, before moving into plates including gnocchi with pumpkin and farm kale or roasted chicken thigh with Kent cauliflower and white beans and pickled shallots.
The Orangery's chef’s table menu offers a more refined experience, with dishes such as celeriac velouté with black truffle and chive oil, Cornish halibut with chard leek fondue, fillet of beef with horseradish yoghurt and dark chocolate with sea salt and espresso gel. For larger private dining events in Soho, full venue hire is also available. The restaurant can accommodate up to 150 guests seated or 400 standing, making it suitable for corporate events, team lunches and milestone celebrations. Drinks include teas and speciality coffees, wine, beer, spirits and cocktails including basil and peach gimlets and amaretto and sage sour spritzes.
