The Horseman brings together the warmth of an Irish pub and the bold flavours of an American smokehouse in the heart of Liverpool Street. Open from breakfast through to last orders, this gastro pub and clubhouse serves everything from morning coffees and hearty breakfasts to leisurely lunches, after-work drinks and late-night dining.
From the team behind Sunday in Brooklyn, The Horsemen is designed to feel like a traditional pub and clubhouse. Guests can expect wooden floors, moulded ceilings and neutral walls, decorated with horse racing artwork and framed jockey silks. Behind The Horsemen sits Fitzgerald’s, an intimate, club-style restaurant complete with dark green leather booths, white tablecloths and timber seating creating a comfortable setting for long lunches and evening drinks.
Led by Executive Chef Esteve Prats Grau, the kitchen blends Irish pub classics with Southern American influences. The menu features dishes designed for sharing, alongside comforting mains and elevated pub favourites. Guests can start with bar snacks such as crispy Fitz onion rings before moving on to larger plates including Kentucky fried chicken and Irish beef tartare served with Tayto crisps.
Smokehouse influences appear throughout the menu, with dishes such as a Texas brisket and treacle bacon burger sitting alongside more traditional options. Comforting mains include slow-braised lamb shank pie served with buttery mash, and crab linguine with daterrini tomatoes. Lunchtime diners can opt for lighter dishes such as grilled bavette steak or Kentucky fried chicken Milanese, available as a two- or three-course set menu.
Desserts continue the transatlantic theme, with the likes of Derby tart combining dark chocolate and pecans and served with custard and vanilla ice cream, as well as Lexington cheesecake with mixberries jam and bourbon chocolate truffles. Behind the bar, guests will find draft Guinness, a carefully curated selection of American bourbons and Irish whiskies, as well as beers, wines, cocktails, soft drinks, teas and coffees.
