Design lovers and fashionistas know that the capital comes alive with creativity every September, with London Fashion Week and the London Design Festival marking two of the biggest cultural weeks in the city's calendar. This year Perrier-Jouët, the effortlessly chic Belle Epoque Champagne, is celebrating London's unique sense of style with a series of exclusive events this month.
The highlight will be L'Eden by Perrier-Jouët, a seductive space in Soho offering a totally new vision of nature in the urban heart of the city. Visitors will be transported to a beautiful secret garden, curated by Bompas & Parr and inspired by the original paradise: the Garden of Eden.
Eden is also the name of Maison Perrier-Jouët's cellar in Epernay, where the house's most precious Champagnes are kept. So you can expect to taste some stunning cuvées at L'Eden, including Perrier-Jouët's Grand Brut and vintage rosé Belle Epoque Edition Automne 2005.
Pluck a Champagne flute from the 'living' room Light Garden installation by Parisian designer Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance, before exploring the world's first bio-responsive garden, where the plants follow your movements and create a unique soundscape for each guest.
The enchanting oasis of L'Eden will play host to a series of exclusive parties during London Fashion Week and the London Design Festival. The Light Garden by Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance will also be open to the public, for free, from Friday 23 to Sunday 25 September. Tickets for entry to the Bompas & Parr bio-responsive garden can be purchased in advance here, which include a glass of Perrier-Jouët Champagne.
If you aren't one of the lucky few who make it into L'Eden, you'll also be able to find Perrier-Jouët in some of London's most stylish and iconic bars, restaurants and hotels this autumn...
Sample an exotic Fairchild's Mule cocktail at Dandelyan (above) in the hip Mondrian hotel. This blend of Perrier-Jouët Grand Brut, gin, lime, pink clove, green cardamom and ginger is named after gardener Thomas Fairchild, who created an experimental garden in Hoxton in the early 18th century, cultivating rare hybrid plants.
At The Sanderson, you can visit the Perrier-Jouët Enchanted Garden and enjoy a glass of Perrier-Jouët Grand Brut. Each glass will be presented with a personalised selection of handmade liqueurs and natural botanicals to help you create a deliciously bespoke serve.
If only a view will do, you could gaze down on Hyde Park if you pay a visit to Galvin at Windows, sipping on a specially curated flight of Perrier-Jouët Champagnes, including Grand Brut, Blason Rosé NV and Belle Epoque 2007.
Finally, Perrier-Jouët are still in residence at Rotunda’s Waterside Garden terrace in King’s Cross (above), until the end of September. An oasis of calm on the banks of Regent’s Canal, enter the garden restaurant through a floral archway and unwind in deckchairs among ivy, white roses and wild strawberries. Champagne will be on hand as you nibble serenely on scallops, Champagne velouté, Avruga (herring) caviar, pork and truffle sausages and lavender crème brûlée.
