Grand Marnier, the unique blend of Cognac and bitter orange essence, has teamed up with legendary London hotel, The Savoy, to launch a limited-edition cocktail at the award-winning Beaufort Bar, which will be available throughout the month of November.
The cocktail is called ‘To The Moon and Back’ and will be featured as The Beaufort Bar’s ‘Cocktail of the Moment’ from 1 November. The drink is a twist on the classic Moonwalk cocktail, which was created in 1969 by legendary Savoy bartender Joe Gilmore to celebrate the first steps on the moon.
This time around, bartender Victor Maggiolo has reinvented the classic sip, using Grand Marnier just like Gilmore did with the original. ‘To The Moon and Back’ includes the classic ingredients, the perfect balance of Grand Marnier and Champagne, with the twist coming from a uniquely crafted Savoy cordial, of infused rose buds and grapefruit peel, finished with a single delicate rose petal garnish.

Ingredients:
35ml Grand Marnier
50ml Champagne
15ml Campari
25ml Grapefruit
Rose cordial.
The cocktail will be available at The Beaufort Bar, Savoy Hotel from 5pm every evening throughout November. Please drink responsibly.
