About

Taken from the Neapolitan dialect to mean truth, 'O ver is a space where you can enjoy authentic and delicious Italian food, with a Neapolitan core. Pure sea water is one of the most loved ingredients in this honest restaurant, which is extracted from the purest areas of the Mediterranean, to make their pizzas, breads and seafood dishes. Every single one of the dishes that you'll try at 'O ver is handmade with love, by highly skilled chefs, in the traditional way.

The impressive menu begins with classic bruschetta, fresh burrata with aubergines, and farm bred Scottish beef carpaccio with asparagus, parmesan, blood orange and black truffle. Hot starters include the soup of the day, a Neapolitan-style aubergine parmigiana, lightly fried Scottish squid and Italian truffle arancini. There's also a Mediterranean salad with all the good stuff, including dry ricotta from Sicily, olives and cold pressed extra virgin olive oil, and the tavolara with fresh black figs, walnuts and a honey and orange dressing.

Like every great Italian, the O Ver Borough menu also includes a fine selection of pastas. But instead of filling the menu with British takes on Italian dishes, there are just four to choose from. Enjoy a simple gnocchi with San Marzano tomato sauce and smoked mozzarella, Italian pork sausage fusilli pasta, Genovese ragu ravioli, or a truffle butter tagliatelle.

The menu is quite heavy on pizzas, with all the classics like a Margherita and veggie special, and a gourmet section. These elevated pizzas include the delicata with fior di latte mozzarella from Monte Lattari, pumpkin cream, Champignon mushrooms, gorgonzola cheese and pumpkin seeds. You’ll also find a selection of ‘O Ver classics, stretching from a white Sorrento pizza with yellow Vesuvio cherry tomatoes and Sorrento lemon zest to a salsicca e funghi number with Tuscan pork sausage and chiodini mushrooms.

Delicious and welcoming but maybe a little overpriced
I have a lovely evening at O'ver not too long ago. The sharing starters were fabulous and full of flavour. The cocktails were delicious and the pizzas to die for. I had the pleasure of sitting at one of their bar stools. Really lovely actually looking on to the street and doing a bit of people watching. The atmosphere was great with the restaurant lit by candlelight and buzzing with people. I love the USP of the salt water pizza. A real draw to the restaurant. My only comment would be that it was slightly overpriced when you think that what we had was a cocktail pizza and nibbles sitting on a bar stool. At the time I didn't mind as it was a lovely evening, I would recommend the restaurant. But not to someone looking for a casual pizza dinner.
