Zendaya denies reports that she was refused entry at Rome restaurant for inappropriate outfit

Zendaya has denied recent reports that she was refused entry to a restaurant in Rome for wearing an inappropriate outfit.

The Spiderman star was recently reported by The Daily Mail as ‘suffering an embarrassing moment’ in Rome on Saturday when she was denied entry to Terrazza Borromini for not adhering to its ‘smart casual’ dress code. Photos of the actress showed her wearing a cropped black tube top which showed her stomach, with low rise beige cargo pants.

However, the actress’s representatives have since denied the allegations as ‘completely false’, saying instead that she simply chose to eat somewhere else.

According to one rep, 'they went to the restaurant and realised that they had eaten there before and decided to try a new restaurant instead. There was no dress code violation or any such thing.’

Zendaya also took to social media to set the record straight. She posted an Instagram story of a cartoon asking ‘Source?’ followed by another illustration with the quote ‘I made it up’.

Her assistant Darnell Appling, who was with her on the day, also hit back at reports by The Daily Mail US, saying the allegations are ‘a bald head lie’.

Taking to Instagram to deny the claim, he said: ‘We never got denied anywhere. We walked into the building, realised we ate there before when we seen the stairs… the same stairs Zendaya slipped on last year and posted about. We all wanted to try a new restaurant and went somewhere else to do so.’
