M&S Christmas food 2024: products, food to order and more

Marks & Spencer’s Christmas food range is a hotly anticipated release each year, with M&S fans keen to get their hands on the limited-edition goodies before they sell out.

The much-loved supermarket is well-known for innovative products when it comes to seasonal specials, and this year's Christmas range is no different. The supermarket has announced it is releasing 500 Christmas products to its shelves for 2024, from new creations to old favourites, including a range of party food, sweets and desserts, as well as a slow-cooked turkey with bacon and turkey gravy which takes less than an hour to cook in the oven.

This year, the supermarket went one step further and opened its pre-order slots on 26 September 2024 - the first of all its competitors. Any early birds out there looking to get organised can order their full festive feast up to three months in advance if they like. 

Before the full range went live, the supermarket  revealed a first look at its Christmas food products on Instagram, teasing customers with a video of five exciting new items. The video showed a Push Along Car with Chocolates, a Swiss Truffle Light Up Tree, a Shortbread Light Up House Tin, a Chocolate Chip Cookie Light Up House Tin, and a Hot Chocolate Light Up House.

Christmas Jumper Colin the Caterpillar

You bet everyone’s favourite caterpillar cake has had a festive update for 2024. This year, Colin is fitted out with a Christmas jumper and a cute green hat to keep warm this winter. Naturally, we’re obsessed.

Trio of Christmas Liqueurs

Remember M&S’s famous gin snow globe? This year, it’s introduced three new glowing art deco bottles filled with delicious liqueurs, with flavours including Very Berry Vodka and Stollen Rum. The bottles light up too for a fantastic gift or party favour.

Four in a Row

This has got to be one of our favourite products from the new range: a chocolatey take on Four in a Row! Play with mates on Christmas Eve, or keep kids busy on the day itself. Each decadent chocolate disc is made with ground hazelnuts for a nutty flavour, and the whole game is reusable and refillable, so you can crack this one out year after year.

M&S has launched an entire light-up range this year, including this adorable Swiss Truffle Light Up Tree Tin. Perfect for chocolate lovers everywhere, this pretty tin is crammed with luxury Swiss chocolate truffles in lots of tasty flavours: think milk, hazelnut, orange and dark chocolate.

Percy Pig ‘n’ Mix

We couldn’t round up our favourite M&S Christmas products without featuring something from its Percy Pig range. We love this shareable Pig ‘n’ Mix tin, which includes a mix of milk chocolate Percys, Percy flavour chocolate snouts with Percy Piglets gummy sweets and candy-coated chocolate beans.

Free-Range Pembrokeshire Heritage Blue Turkey with Giblets

First and foremost on this year’s roster of food to order is, of course, the turkey. While there are quite a few smaller options such as crowns, in our books you can’t beat the whole bird. This Pembrokeshire Heritage had plenty of room to run around, so the meat has buckets of flavour. Suitable for freezing.

Beef & Bone Marrow Pie

If you're after a real showstopper, you can't do much better than this extravagant Beef & Bone Marrow Pie. It features British beef cooked in an ale and bone-marrow gravy, with bone-marrow-roasted onions and bacon pieces. It's packed with flavour! The decorative piece of bone marrow in the middle turns this meaty main into a festive centrepiece.

Ultimate Luxury Shellfish Platter

Fancy something a bit different to turkey this year? Opt for these slow-cooked lamb crowns served with shallot and herb stuffing, and meaty herb butter. They’re French trimmed and matured for the best possible flavour.

Surf & Turf Beef Tomahawk with Garlic Butter

Can‘t decide between meat or seafood? Try M&S’s decadent Surf & Turf platter starring a majestic Tomahawk steak with garlic butter, as well as Canadian lobster tails and king prawns. The final flourish includes smoked bone marrow and garlic butter for glazing.

Shallot Tarte Tatin

Two beautiful veggie starters based on the French classic: tarte tatin. These ones feature caramelised balsamic shallots cooked in a buttery sherry and balsamic vinegar caramel glaze, all topped with buttery puff pastry.

Winter Wreath

Chocolatey desserts are the best in our humble opinion, and we’re psyched to try this Winter Wreath featuring vanilla and Belgian chocolate mousse, chocolate sauce and a crunchy biscuit base. The whole thing is decorated with edible woodland flourishes and a sweet snow sugar dusting.

Chocolate Torte

Another one for the chocolate fans, this brand-new torte from its dessert range is totally vegan and combines a crunchy biscuit case with smooth dark Belgian chocolate ganache and dark chocolate shards. It’s one of those ‘I can’t believe it’s vegan’ showstoppers that everyone at the table will want a slice of.

When can I order M&S Christmas food 2024?

The M&S Christmas food range is available to pre-order from 26 September 2024, with customers able to book collection and date times as part of the process. Anyone wanting to order their festive meal early will need to pay a £50 deposit, before paying the outstanding balance when collecting the items in store. The deposit is non-refundable. 

When will the M&S Christmas food advert be released?

M&S's annual Christmas food advert launched on 2 November 2024. Similarly to last year, the ad features a Fairy character voiced by British comedian Dawn French. This year, however, two new characters have entered the scene: Right & Left Mitten, voiced by Hollywood superstars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney. Watch the full advert below:

Are the Christmas hampers back this year?
