Drink like the stars with Champagne Thiénot

You might not have the whole Hollywood lifestyle, but that doesn’t mean you can’t drink like the stars.

For the second year running, the boutique house of Champagne Thiénot was at the heart of the Oscars® celebrations, having been chosen by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences as the exclusive Champagne poured during both the pre-show party and post-show Governors Ball.

Thiénot Champagne comes from the city of Reims, located in the heart of the historic Champagne region.

During the pre-show reception, guests enjoyed Thiénot Brut, while at the Governors Ball the Thiénot Rosé and the Thiénot Vintage 2005 were paired with the fine cuisine of Chef Wolfgang Puck, of Cut at 45 Park Lane, for the 1,500 guests which included Oscar® winners and nominees, show presenters,  performers, and other luminaries.

The cuvées…

BRUT-BD.jpgThiénot Brut
Thiénot Brut combines finesse, fruit and freshness in a blend of three grape varieties selected from the finest vineyards in Champagne. The wine develops a spring-like bouquet, where floral and fruit aromas intertwine. The lively, delicate wine evolves on the palate towards a long finish, exuding a succession of orchard notes.

ROSE-BD.jpgThiénot Rosé
This Brut Rosé Champagne has a delicate salmon-pink colour, lovely red fruit aromas on the nose, showing raspberries, morello cherries and blackcurrants. A wonderfully rounded wine, impressively long on the palate.

VINTAGE-BD.jpgThiénot Vintage 2005
Only in the very best years do Champagne Thiénot release a “Brut Vintage” Champagne, which is a subtle harmony of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The nose is refined and reveals white fruit and floral aromas, developing into sweet pastry notes. On the palate the Champagne is lively and wonderfully complex.
