Miki's Paradise offers a relaxed, all-day dining experience, combining speciality coffee, brunch and baked goods in an easy-going, neighbourhood setting. Open for breakfast, brunch and lunch, it is a versatile spot that works just as well for a quick coffee as it does for a more leisurely meal with friends, family or colleagues.
From the outside, the restaurant has the feel of a classic cafe, with an awning stretching out over the pavement and large floor-to-ceiling windows framed in black. The whitewashed brick facade keeps the look clean and fresh, while outdoor seating on the street provides a simple place to sit and watch the world go by.
Inside, big windows let in plenty of natural daylight, giving the space a bright and welcoming feel. A mix of wooden and tiled flooring adds texture, while a white tiled bar forms a central feature, where speciality coffees and baked goods are prepared throughout the day. Cakes such as red velvet are displayed on the counter alongside other baked goods including St Johns filled doughnuts, banana bread, croissants and cinnamon buns.
Exposed brick walls, open shelving stocked with teas and coffee, mirrored panels and touches of greenery all help create a friendly, relaxed environment. While industrial style lighting with filament bulbs adds a softer glow.
The menu is broad, with a strong focus on brunch. Options include matcha overnight oats with Greek yogurt, chai, honey, banana and berries, alongside sourdough toast with smoked salmon, avocado and poached eggs. Pancakes and breakfast buns offer more indulgent choices. Sandwiches range from Italian focaccia stuffed with roast chicken, house pesto, fresh spinach and Parmesan to rosemary and sea salt focaccia with pastrami with mozzarella and pickles.
