There’s more than burgers on offer at this lively joint in Blackfriars – you could opt for duck rillettes or Goan fishcakes – but something in a bun is their speciality. And burgers here don’t just mean a beef patty. Of course, if that’s your thing, look no further than the Raging Bull, made from Argentine beef and topped with a grilled chilli, or if that sounds too spicy, the Morris Major, complete with treacle onion relish. But the more adventurous might like the Maryland, with soft shell crab and pickled cucumber, or even the Yucatan, a Mexican vegetarian version. It’s inexpensive, easy dining, with a decent bar serving cocktails and craft beers to match the food (fancy a Matador to see off your Raging Bull?), while those short of time can opt to take away.
