An offshoot of Foxcroft & Ginger in Soho, this quirky café occupies the ground floor of an
iconic building once dubbed the ‘Harrods of the East’. Like the original, it’s done out in cute industrial-chic style with black, bell-shaped miners-style lamps hanging from the high stone ceiling
and mismatched vintage crockery – plus an old family-kitchen table with the hand-carved F&G heart logo. Hand-baked cakes and breads are the top shouts, along with sourdough pizzas, savoury
filled buns and all manner of breakfast/brunch staples including a dressed-up version of French toast loaded with ham, cheese, béchamel sauce and honey mustard. Among the sweet treats, don’t miss
the chocolate brownies, banana bread or lemon meringue cupcakes. Coffee is taken seriously, with beans sourced from artisan suppliers and water purified using reverse osmosis; otherwise fresh teas,
creative cocktails, craft beers and wines do the trick. No bookings.
