FINK’S, the much-loved North London café and bakery, opens its most ambitious project yet in the heart of Clissold Park. Taking over the Grade II-listed Clissold House, this vibrant new outpost is a joyful, design-led revival of a historic space, split across three distinct areas: The Kiosk, The Pink Room, and The Dining Room.
The menu marks a return to à la carte for co-founder and culinary director Jess Blackstone, alongside head chef Matilde Romeo (ex-Serpentine Gallery Café). Expect bold, seasonal cooking with a playful twist: Clissold Rarebit made with 40ft Brewery IPA, a golden Giant Rosti with cavolo nero and poached eggs, and a decadent Honey Mustard Chicken Melt on brioche. There’s also a dedicated Ducklings Menu for younger diners, featuring nostalgic favourites like Cornflake Chicken Dippers and Broccoli & Cheese Balls.
Pastry fans are in for a treat too, with Adriann Ramirez’s signature bakes taking centre stage - including the return of FINK’S viral Princess Cake, reimagined in Pink Room hues. The in-house bakery, led by Adam Morley, turns out exceptional breads and viennoiserie daily.
Design is integral to the experience. The Pink Room is a riot of FINK’S signature pink, cornflower blue woodwork and candy-striped curtains, while the Dining Room pairs verdant greens with coral accents and vintage Bruno Rey chairs. The Kiosk, accessed via the Rose Garden, offers takeaway coffee, bakes and curated snacks in a jewel-toned setting.
Sustainability is central to the FINK’S ethos, with low-waste practices, local sourcing, and pedal-powered deliveries across their North London sites. Clissold House is their fifth location, and perhaps their most personal - a true homecoming for Jess and co-founder Mat Appleton, both long-time Stoke Newington locals.
