Everyone sometimes has a moment when they just want to enjoy a big old guilt-free burger and that’s exactly what Burger Shed 41 is all about. Based on Chester’s historic Bridge Street, Burger Shed 41 aims to bring the feeling of a New York burger joint over to the UK with its menu of massive stacked burgers and indulgent milkshakes. It isn’t a place to calorie count but it’s the perfect place to go for a fun, affordable bite to eat with a few friends.
From the outside Burger Shed 41 doesn’t look like your classic burger joint; the front is painted in muted grey tones, and there are a few tables out front with planters full of flowers either side. However, once you head inside, everything is much more of a classic American diner vibe; metal chairs sit around the plain wooden tables, a neon burger sign illuminates the far wall of the restaurant and an old-school blackboard displays all of the food options on offer.
The burgers at the restaurant range from a classic cheeseburger to a fish burger with American cheese and tartare sauce, as well as a pork and pear burger served with caramelised onions and pickled gherkins. All the burgers are served in brioche buns and the patties served medium well done.
However, as well as burgers there is plenty more on offer at Burger Shed 41 including a range of hot dogs, one of which comes topped with chilli con carne and cheese. Sides include popcorn chicken and a range of loaded fries, with tacos also available if you so wish.
The drinks selection is just as impressive as the food menu with milkshake flavours including Oreo, and peanut and banana, and a selection of ice cream floats also available. If you have room, there’s also a selection of desserts on offer such as mini chocolate doughnuts.
