Burger & Lobster Canary Wharf sits at West India Quay, inside a refurbished dockside warehouse that once stored sugar, rum and tea shipped in from the West Indies. It's on Hertsmere Road, with Canary Wharf station on the Jubilee line the nearest stop, and it's one of ten Burger & Lobster restaurants across London.
The menu follows The Originals: a Classic Burger of 100% family-farmed Irish beef in 130g or 200g patties, with a choice of toppings including cheese, bacon or half a lobster tail; whole wild-caught Nova Scotian lobster, steamed or grilled with fries and unlimited lemon and garlic butter; and the Lobster Roll, chilled lobster and lemon mayo in a toasted brioche bun. Combos bring burger and lobster together, up to the Combo for Two, which serves a whole lobster, an original burger and a lobster roll at one table. There's an oyster bar with rock oysters shucked daily, which can be topped with Oscietra caviar, alongside starters such as wagyu beef and lobster croquettes and prawns on toast with chimichurri.
The kitchen also runs a Surf & Turf line, including a wagyu beef smash patty burger with crispy prawn and lemongrass hot sauce, and a beef carpaccio finished with lobster mayonnaise. Desserts include a pistachio and matcha tiramisu and a sticky toffee pudding with Hackney Gelato vanilla ice cream. The cocktail list has a few West India Quay signatures, among them the Kyoto Garden, made with sake, peach and yuzu, and the Pearl Martini, served with an oyster. There's also a children's menu, Little Claws, for those 12 and under.
The restaurant takes both bookings and walk-ins for indoor dining, with outdoor seating available on a first-come, first-served basis, and the events team can arrange private dining or meeting space for groups.
