The Man Who Fell To Earth Manchester restaurant bar

SquareMeal Review of The Man Who Fell to Earth

OPENS LATE 2017

Michael O’Hare is a man on a mission. The chef behind the Michelin-starred The Man Behind The Curtain in Leeds is gunning for the same success in Manchester, a city which currently has no Michelin stars. Housed in the former Manchester Stock Exchange, the building has now been turned into a hotel by footballers-turned-entrepreneurs Ryan Giggs and Gary Neville. O’Hare is creative director of their company GG Hospitality and also responsible for rooftop restaurant Are Friends Electric (also housed here), as well as Rabbit in the Moon at Manchester’s National Football Museum. The Man Who Fell to Earth is the most formal of these Manc ventures, set in a dining room inspired by Parisian ballrooms. O’Hare is known for cooking up a cutting-edge riot with his food, as well as his sense of fun, so come expecting culinary chaos, in the best possible sense.
