Just a few doors down from his modern Spanish Encant, restaurateur Victor Garvey has now opened this intimate wine and cheese bar. The laid-back space welcomes both bookings and walk-ins, and can make for a handy pit stop if you’re waiting for a table at Encant. Naturally, the menu features charcuterie boards, with the cheese selection including Spanish offerings such as Picos de Valdeon Azul and La Serena. Those who are a little hungrier can opt for tapas-style dishes including free-range chicken with crispy serrano ham, and oven-baked Torta del Casar cheese with crudités and garlic bread. A selection of Spanish wines seeks to complement the food, with most available by the glass, and prices ranging from the affordable to the flash.
