The latest branch of this likeable chain of bistros should put a smile on City faces. With its grey, white and wood interior, it looks as though it’s the backdrop of a thousand fashionable photo shoots and its happy blend of Parisian café with Provencal-based food and a short, mostly French wine list makes it as comfortable a place to meet and eat as it is to dine solo. Choose from classic French breads and pastries as well as the likes of eggs benedict from early in the morning; by lunchtime customers are more likely to have moved on to classic salads, moules mariners or fillet steak. Given the displays of patisserie, it’ll be hard not to indulge in a dessert.
