Just a short walk from Liverpool Street, New Street Wine is tucked away in the former East India Company Old Bengal Warehouse. Originally housing silks and textiles, the Grade-II listed 18th-century building now stores up to 500 bottles primed and ready to meet any tastes and suit a variety of celebrations. The interiors blend contemporary flair and intimate style, ideal for a relaxed but elevated affair with plenty of space to mingle.
When exclusivity is the order of the day, New Street Wine is armed and ready to host any manner of occasion, from corporate events to bespoke wine tastings and anniversary celebrations, you can opt for a semi-private space or exclusive hire of the entire venue. The semi-private space has a capacity of 30 guests standing while exclusive hire options include up to 34 seated or 80 standing. Guided by award-winning sommeliers, wine tastings follow themes like New World vs Old World, Chardonnay’s of the world and low-intervention wines. The reservations team also offer tastings tailored to your preferred region, grape, or theme.
There is no intimidating, lengthy wine list. New Street Wine has a ‘pick it and drink it’ model, with futuristic enomatic wine dispensers, a vast collection to sample, and attentive expert help - a perfect match might be just around the corner. And should you find the perfect bottle, New Street Wine also doubles as a shop. The food menu is designed with wine in mind. Guests can expect a fine selection of cheeses; including an 18-month comte, pont d’yeu, and morbier. The charcuterie includes coppa, saucisson, and bresaola while the hot menu offers baked camembert, aubergine croquettes, or a classic croque-monsieur.
