Permanently moored at Temple Pier, The Yacht London is a characterful 1927 steam vessel available for hospitality bookings. A 3am licence means parties can last way into the night, while its central location gives views of some of the capital’s iconic landmarks, including Big Ben and the London Eye. There are four main areas for hire, which can all be rented in conjunction with one another (exclusive hire is also possible).
The Top Deck is the place to book in the summer, although it is available all year round – its marquee is fully heated during the winter, making it event-ready for Christmas and NYE. We especially love the look of the cocktail bar out on the stern terrace and during the summer months the marquee is open-air for that alfresco feel on the river. The 360 view is hard to beat, too.
The boat’s private dining room, the Cocktail Lounge, can also be used for smaller drinks receptions. The art deco interiors and the intimate feel make it a rather special space for events, and due to being on the lower deck is particularly good in winter.
The main restaurant is a handsome spot for dining and can be hired out privately for up to 100 people. The food is British with modern European influences and can be enjoyed while gazing out of the floor to ceiling windows, which offer lovely river views.
Finally, the Stateroom Lounge is ideal for meetings and seminars, but can also cater from smaller lunches and dinner parties. It retains the original parquet floor from 1927, offering lots of character.
