The Purple Owl in London combines creative workshops, cocktails and relaxed dining within a quirky, design-led venue suited to everything from birthday parties and baby showers to corporate events, engagement parties and team-building sessions. With a late licence, dance floor, high-speed Wi-Fi and disability access, the venue offers a more playful alternative to traditional event spaces, pairing food and drinks with optional hands-on creative experiences.
The venue is split across two distinct spaces. The Arts Area can host up to 35 guests and is designed around creative workshops and smaller gatherings. Here, guests can take part in activities such as sip and paint, pottery painting, fabric and T-shirt painting, candle decorating and clay modelling, while enjoying cocktails, wines, beers and sharing food throughout the session.
For larger celebrations at The Purple Owl, the Bar Lounge accommodates up to 200 guests standing. Designed as a stylish, welcoming place to settle in for the evening, the space combines relaxed lounge seating with a lively late-night atmosphere suited to drinks receptions and larger celebrations.
Interiors at The Purple Owl feel modern, eclectic and atmospheric throughout. A large open bar anchors the room beneath low lighting and rattan lampshades, while patterned wallpaper, booth seating and shelves filled with artwork and decorative objects add personality. Wooden bar stools and softer lighting help create a relaxed setting.
Food packages are available at a range of price points, with menus built around grazing and sharing. Signature charcuterie boards feature cured meats, artisanal cheeses, marinated olives, sun-dried tomatoes and crusty bread, while accompaniments include hummus with crudites, toasted roll selections, fries and cakes such as lemon drizzle, coffee and walnut and chocolate fudge. Guests can also order from the wider all-day menu, which includes sandwiches, small plates, bowl food and sharing platters.
