With four light and bright spaces to choose from, The Plough Inn in Cobham offers flexible entertaining options for every kind of event. From relaxed baby showers and birthday parties through to corporate entertainment, the experienced in-house team are well used to working on all sorts of projects. From beginning to end they’ll handle every detail of your event to ensure everything from menus to table setup is sorted, leaving you to do little else apart from turn up.
The main restaurant space can accommodate 40 seated diners, or 60 standing guests for drinks and canapes. Here, areas are split up between the cosy banquette booths and more traditional dining table setups. Contemporary artworks, wooden beams and luxurious upholstered seating set the tone for a relaxed but refined event area. The space is elevated by way of the low-level lighting, reams of real candles and the old log fire. While every party is approached on a bespoke basis, starters might include an Isle of Wight tomato salad with a black olive crumb or a filet steak beef tartare. The main event ranges from a free change chicken supreme with cauliflower puree with sauteed pumpkin, cavolo nero, roasted chestnuts and a red wine and thyme jus to a highland wagyu beef burger with homemade toppings and triple cooked chips. Roasts can be arranged too, and are ideal for weekend winter events, while sweets tick off treats like a mascarpone and coffee mille feuille and a lemon posset.
As an alternative, The Snug is centred round a fireplace with surrounding sofa seating and can accommodate up to thirty people. Elsewhere The Garden Room is covered in foliage for the ultimate picture perfect backdrop, while The Terrace has room for 150 and suits summer soirees.
