The Globe knows how to make an entrance. Its rococo facade stands proudly beside the Roman Wall, while inside, the three private spaces offer plenty of character for corporate celebrations, team socials, milestone birthdays, anniversary parties and drinks receptions. Whether you’re planning a sit-down banquet or an event where guests can circulate with a drink in hand, there’s room to shape the occasion around the group.
The Dining Room is The Globe's largest private space, with capacity for 60 seated or 100 standing. Its grand curtains, warm woods and chandelier lighting bring a little theatricality to proceedings, while the private bar keeps the drinks flowing. A projector and flat screen also make it useful for presentations, speeches or a birthday slideshow.
The Lounge, meanwhile, accommodates up to 30 seated or 50 standing, offering a smaller-scale setting with artwork and classic features lining the walls. Its private bar makes it a natural choice for after-work drinks, team celebrations and birthday parties where the emphasis is on conversation and conviviality. Planning something a little bigger? Named after poet John Keats, Keats at The Globe can accommodate up to 60 seated or 150 standing. It’s a light-filled space with a private bar, projector and flatscreen, giving it the flexibility to move from a formal company presentation to a full-scale celebration.
Event menus at The Globe can be arranged to match the format. For seated events, the main menu includes oven-baked Camembert for sharing, king prawn and smoked Scottish salmon cocktail, a selection of Nicholson’s pies, chargrilled sirloin and pan-roasted salmon, with sticky toffee pudding and double chocolate brownie among the desserts. For more informal parties, buffet packages range from cheeseburger sliders, calamari and chicken skewers to premium options including mini steak and Pale Ale pies, grilled salmon and king prawn cocktail cups. Drinks packages can be pre-ordered, with options including wine, beer and cider, Prosecco and Champagne, making the practical side of party planning pleasantly straightforward.
