The Globe makes private dining feel like an occasion in itself. Tucked beside the Roman Wall near Finsbury Circus Garden, The Globe is a historic British pub is an atmospheric choice for corporate private dining, client entertaining, milestone birthdays and celebratory meals with friends and family. The Dining Room is the largest of the spaces, accommodating up to 60 guests seated. Dramatic curtains, warm woods and chandelier lighting give the room a sense of old-school glamour, while a private bar means nobody needs to wander off in search of a top-up. For business occasions, there’s also a projector and flatscreen, making it easy to segue from a presentation into a meal.
The Lounge at The Globe offers a more intimate setting for up to 30 seated guests. Its walls are packed with artwork and distinctive features, giving the room plenty of visual interest and creating an easy backdrop for conversation. This space also has a private bar, making it well suited to relaxed lunches, celebratory dinners and smaller gatherings. For larger groups, Keats at The Globe can accommodate up to 60 seated guests. Named after poet John Keats, who’s rumoured to have been born in the neighbouring stable in 1795, the room is filled with natural light and comes with its own private bar, projector and flatscreen.
The main menu is packed with familiar British dishes and crowd-pleasers, from oven-baked Camembert and pulled beef rib croquettes to Nicholson’s famous pies, including British steak and Pale Ale and chicken, leek and tarragon. Mains range from chargrilled sirloin and fish and chips to pan-roasted salmon, while sticky toffee pudding and apple and cinnamon crumble pie round things off.
For a more informal group meal, buffet options include cheeseburger sliders, chorizo and chicken skewers, calamari, salmon and dill fish cakes and smoked Scottish salmon with avocado. Pre-ordered drinks packages cover wine, beer and cider, Prosecco and Champagne.
