Former Racine chef-patron Henry Harris and publican James McCulloch have reimagined this Clerkenwell boozer, with its floor-to-ceiling windows and pretty garden. They’ve respected its Victorian heritage, but expect some modern touches: the private room is painted a vivid turquoise, and there are splashes of green and navy elsewhere. Harris oversees a menu that blends French and British cuisine and takes guests through from breakfast to dinner.
