About EartH

Evolutionary Arts Hackney (EartH) is a modern multi-venue space in the heart of East London designed to bring together people from all walks of life. The venue hosts a diverse range of artists, individuals and groups who champion creativity and are eager to innovate, progress and collaborate their craft. It’s a space designed for the 21st century and offers a truly inclusive and sustainable outlook, pledging to work towards a 50/50 gender split in its programming by 2022.

Offering three main venue spaces that are available to hire, why not consider hosting your next event at this forward-thinking spot? The largest of its rooms is the EartH Hall, with a capacity of up to 1,200 people and located beneath the rumble of Stoke Newington Road. This gigantic multi-purpose gig venue regularly hosts major events including 360° pit parties and the Big Hackney Flea Market, but could equally work as a fantastic space to host a large-scale party, for example.

Meanwhile, the EartH Theatre is a 680-capacity tiered seated space that’s already hosted the likes of Jarvis Cocker, Lianne La Havas, Vampire Weekend and Simon Amstell. Boasting art-deco features, a state-of-the-art L-ISA sound system and two smaller bars for gig guests, it’s a brilliant place to put on an event to remember.

Lastly, is the EartH Kitchen, a versatile space that houses a restaurant, bar and performance stage depending on the style of event. It also serves as a community space for local and social causes. The room includes a sound system and lounge area and also hosts pop-up food businesses for those looking to tuck into a bite. It’s an ideal location for hosting a festive drinks reception or even a sit-down fine-dining experience.

Each space can be hired individually or the venue can be hired as a whole for a complete takeover.

The Theatre has a capacity of 650 seats, or 750 with a standing area. When we took over the building, the Theatre hadn’t been touched since it screened it’s final film in 1984 and we’ve retained all of its glorious, original features. Juxtaposed against this faded grandeur, the space is fitted out with state-of-the-art AV including a 360° L-ISA PA system and can play host to talks, conferences, AGMs, press launches and screenings.
