If you’re looking for a party venue bursting with character, The Winemakers Club in Farringdon is just the ticket. Not as exclusive as the name suggests, The Winemakers Club is a wine bar and bottle shop, available to hire for private and special events.
The story behind The Winemakers Club starts in 2009, when the business began importing wine from all over the world, with a focus on small vineyards and independent producers. In 2014, it moved into its current home, a magnificent location beneath the Victorian arches of the Holborn Viaduct, just a stone's throw from Farringdon Station.
The original features and untouched brick-work celebrate the building’s history and effortless ambience, while offering an atmospheric backdrop for festive events. It’s usually open as a bar all day, where you can find a cosy corner and sample some of its fantastic wines, but for private events the venue boasts a wealth of large and small spaces for hire.
The team enthusiastically welcomes festive private hire bookings, and offer a flexible approach to venue hire. Whether it's an intimate get-together for 10, or a whole ‘Arch’ takeover for up to 80 people, you're sure to find an option to suit you here. For smaller events, the Tasting Room can host 20 for a standing reception, or around a single table for 14.
The team can offer half arch hire, two-arch hire or whole arch hire, depending on the size of your event, while the whole venue is perfect for blowout Christmas parties. Please note that the venue doesn't offer sit-down dinners, but it more than able to offer excellent wines with delicious bar snacks.
Being based in the City, Saturdays at The Winemakers Club tend to be a little quieter, which means it often has availability if you're looking for a private hire venue on the weekend. So, the team encourages you to send over an email to check, as they often do have space. Finally, there is no hire fee for any of the spaces, just a minimum spend requirement. Cheers to that!
