Christmas at The Castle Farringdon has all the ingredients for a festive gathering with plenty of food and a setting that feels more distinctive than the usual seasonal booking. The Lounge Bar accommodates up to 35 guests seated or 60 standing, making it suitable for office Christmas parties, client entertaining and celebrations with friends, while the upstairs Meeting Space offers a more intimate option for groups of up to 20.
The Lounge Bar’s bold, bohemian style gives festive celebrations a suitably memorable backdrop, with the atmosphere of a British pub running through the space. For smaller corporate gatherings or more intimate occasions, the Meeting Space offers a practical setting with complimentary Wi-Fi, a 50-inch LCD TV and HDMI cables, alongside coffee and tea facilities.
The Castle Farringdon's festive three-course menu is built around familiar seasonal flavours. Starters include chicken liver and brandy parfait with plum and sloe chutney, whisky-smoked salmon with horseradish creme fraiche and butternut squash and spiced pumpkin soup. Mains bring out the Christmas classics, with hand-carved turkey served with a Cumberland pig-in-blanket, stuffing and all the trimmings, alongside blade of beef, pan-roasted salmon and a festive three-bird pie. There’s also a root vegetable, cranberry and nut roast for a plant-based option.
Desserts include sticky toffee Christmas pudding, dark chocolate torte with blackcurrant sorbet, Bramley apple, plum and cranberry crumble and salted caramel profiteroles. British cheeses are available as a supplement.
For a more relaxed Christmas party, The Castle Farringdon can put on a festive buffet with dishes including festive fries, calamari with saffron aioli, artichoke and red pepper arancini, smoked salmon rillettes, miso chicken skewers, pigs in blankets with cranberry hot honey and cheeseburger sliders with Camembert and cranberry sauce. A choice of festive desserts can also be added, including mini mince pies, triple chocolate brownie and caramel biscuit torte. Prosecco and Champagne can be added to buffet packages for a suitably celebratory toast.
