Christmas parties at The Stafford are very special, thanks to enormous Christmas trees, decorations galore, and a variety of private event spaces available to hire for social parties and work gatherings. The luxury hotel building itself dates back to the 17th century, making this a grand location for a big Christmas party, whether it's a big cocktails and canapes gathering or an intimate Christmas dinner between friends. Within the corridors of the hotel, you'll find a number of stately rooms that are available to hire for private and corporate Christmas events.
First, there's the elegant, period detailing, panelled walls and natural light of the Argyll and Pink Rooms - these two interconnected rooms are ideal for smaller festive celebrations, and are available as a pair or individually. With room for 26 seated or 40 standing guests, The Sutherland Room is slightly larger, and its deep blue panelled walls and original marble fireplace give it a smart yet cosy vibe.
The Wine Cellar might be The Stafford's most impressive private room - this old cellar was used as an air raid shelter in World War Two, and today it holds The Stafford's considerable 8000-strong wine collection. It hosts private Christmas dinners for up to 44 guests along a wonderful rectangular banqueting table, as well as wine tastings with the hotel's knowledgeable sommeliers.
The greatest sell, however, when it comes to hosting your Christmas party at The Stafford, is the food. With bespoke menus from the Michelin-starred chef, Michael Caines, you can dine on dishes like smoked salmon with caviar and soda bread, confit duck terrine, traditional roast turkey and The Stafford's famous beef Wellington, served with winter root vegetables and a red wine sauce.
