One of our favourite Christmas party spaces in west London is The Crown Chiswick, which strikes just the right balance between being a homely environment while offering really good British pub-grub using the best seasonal ingredients. With flexible packages, you can choose to kick things off with a welcome cocktail or mulled wine, or plump for a few glasses of classic fizz depending on the atmosphere you'd like to create.
Food-wise you’re spoilt for choice with reasonably priced set-menus starting from just £45 per head. Treat guests to starters like confit salmon with beetroot and a horseradish salad or pressed duck with chestnuts and blackberry compote. Come mains you’ll have a choice of three combinations that run from a Jerusalem artichoke risotto for vegetarians through to crisp rare breed pork with pomme Anna and a cider sauce for meat eaters. Sweets are tried and tested favourites with a twist – think smoked butter sticky toffee pudding or an almond cheesecake made with Baron Bigod served with a ginger ice cream. If nothing takes your fancy from the standard menus, your event manager will happily tailor the pub’s offering to your tastes and is on hand throughout your planning process to help with all your requests.
Venue-wise you have the pick of four spaces. The Nick is a small private dining room created from two transformed prison cells (the building has a colourful past) and can accommodate up to ten guests for a seated meal – ideal for smaller teams. Slightly larger than The Nick is The Green Room, which can cater for 26 people for a sit-down meal. Elsewhere, The Dining Room has space for up to 90 people, while the cosy al fresco Courtyard can be completely covered and heated and can act as a drinks reception space for up to 120, or as a dinner spot for up to 80.
