Located on the site of the former Marquee club, 100 Wardour has a fine record of hosting historic events. This is where the Rolling Stones played their first London gig, so we imagine it’ll make a great spot for a Christmas party. Located in the heart of Soho, this vibrant dining destination and cocktail bar offers innovative décor and a playful feel that’s well suited to celebrations. Not to mention a host of private spaces ranging from smart private dining rooms to a basement club.
Step beyond the light-filled entrance atrium and there’s a cavernous main space dominated by an island bar: the place to kick off with a cocktail or fizz reception. The bar features surrounding booths that are suited to group dining, and offers lots of cosy corners for a sense of privacy, while the lounge is a bohemian-inspired space perfect for kicking back with a drink. Hire them both for up to 400 people standing, or 150 seated.
If you’d prefer a festive event with a little more privacy, the Playroom is a dedicated private dining room for 12 seated banquet-style and features comfy leather armchairs, old bookshelves and Rolling Stones memorabilia.
Downstairs, you’ll find the club, with a stage for live performances if you’re looking to put on a show at your Christmas party. Adjoined to this space are a host of private and semi-private spaces for smaller festive gatherings, including the Carnaby Room, the 100 Room and the Old Compton Room.
A selection of festive menus is available for lunch and dinner parties. Guests are able to enjoy three courses with a glass of bubbles, with dishes featuring ham hock terrine with apricot, leek, whole grain mustard and honey to start, Norfolk bronze turkey with chestnut sage stuffing, roast vegetables and cranberry sauce for main course, and Christmas log with griottines cherries for dessert.
