Located at the front of Regent Street’s glittering hotel, this calming café and takeaway has been fashioned from golden Sienna marble, with gorgeous displays of cakes, patisserie and chocolates catching the eye. Ever since the space was recast as London’s first-ever dessert restaurant, executive pastry chef Sarah Barber has made it her mission to deliver the West End’s most droolworthy sweets. The action centres around a range of themed tasting menus, all served with optional wine pairings. Each commences with a savoury starter, while themes include childhood memories, Barber’s grandfather and former members of the hotel’s kitchen team. The café also includes an espresso bar and a large range of coffees and teas, making this a good choice for a luxe treat.
