Inspired by the grandly Edwardian Bush Hall live music venue next door, these self-styled ‘dining rooms’ are not only dedicated to feeding ticket holders with special ‘pre-gig’ menus but are also perfect for breakfast meetings, family get-togethers, Sunday roasts and more besides. The setting is ultra-traditional with rows of tables, banquettes and a chequerboard floor, while the menu mixed retro favourites (coronation chicken salad, anyone?) with some more upbeat international dishes. Bloody Mary mussels, tomato and strawberry gazpacho or shrimp cocktail smothered in Jack Daniels Marie-Rose might precede pistachio-crusted rack of lamb, seared tuna on Puy lentils, or fish stew with croûtons, while fun-loving desserts promise anything from summer pudding to knickerbocker glory. Drinks also aim to satisfy young and old alike, from milkshakes, herbal teas and smoothies, to vintage wines and spirits.
