Pantechnicon’s beautiful roof terrace is the perfect place to celebrate your newlywed status thanks to its stunning views, informal vibe and contemporary interiors.
Depending on the size of your wedding party you can choose between hiring the entirety of the Roof Garden (which can accommodate up to 160 guests for a standing reception both inside and outside, or 46 seated diners indoors) or instead opt for smaller sections of the restaurant space at Eldr for a semi-private party.
While the venue doesn’t hold a wedding license itself, it’s location in the heart of Knightsbridge means there are all sorts of gorgeous options for places to tie the knot nearby, before you arrive back to Pantechnicon for a party.
The mix and match table sizes and styles allows you to easily break up guests into family or friendship groups and gives the whole thing a really laidback atmosphere from the get-go. The garden has been designed by Finnish horticulturalist Taina Suonio, and on dry days the entire roof can be retracted to soak up the warm weather.
To kick things off you can greet guests with a selection of the team’s carefully crafted cocktails and spritzes. While the mixologists are happy to make suggestions, they can also adapt their specials to suit your tastes or special requests. Perhaps you could have a welcome cocktail that reminds you of a special date, or name them after personal jokes. On the menu you’ll also find a selection of gin, akavit and wine if you prefer.
Food is served from the kitchen at Eldr, which has a distinctly Scandi menu. Think smorresbrod to start before moving onto sharing plates of pork terrine, new potatoes with roe and chives or cod with smoked cream and sea herbs. No celebration is complete without a little something sweet, and pud here might be meringues with blackcurrant leaf and raspberries or a Nordic cheese plate with cloudberries and rye crisp breads.
