Fancy holding your reception in a restaurant? Three of our new favourites are available for wedding hire
The Ivy Chelsea Garden
From truffle arancini to grilled whole lobster, the food
here is of the style and quality you’d expect from The Ivy Collection, but it’s the new private dining room that really impresses. Round tables (or a single long table) are surrounded by boldly patterned chairs under a gold ceiling; the walls are lined with vintage botanical prints.
Jamavar
Mayfair’s not short of fine-dining Indians, but
this one’s pretty special, with a royal-blue PDR well suited to smaller celebrations. Exec chef Rohit Ghai has been inspired both by the street markets and royal households of India. The results are impressive, with small plates matched by delicately spiced curries and biryanis.
The Game Bird
The
five-star Stafford Hotel’s restaurant is both grand and modern, with blood-red leather chairs and grey velvet banquettes. As the restaurant’s name implies, game features large (try the signature roast pigeon), but fine fish and crustacea also star. Wedding groups can choose from five enclosed spaces – we like the 380-year-old Wine Cellars.
