Nestled in East Finchley, The Clissold Arms is a family run gastropub that holds a fond place in locals' hearts, but also attracts visitors from further afield to try its menu of modern British classics. Its selection of private dining rooms along with the bright and spacious patio garden make it a popular venue for many a private function but in particular, weddings. Their highly skilled events team are on hand from the outset to help you with planning your special day and ensuring that all your needs are catered for with minimal fuss and a keen attention to detail. Come the day of your event and the front of house team have been trained to provide a welcoming and slick service that enables you to relax in the knowledge that everything has been taken care of.
The wooden floors, and walls adorned with picture frames create a laid-back, homely atmosphere whilst the addition of plush purple velvet upholstered chairs add a hint of rock star luxe. The quirky ‘Kinks Room’, where the band performed their first gig, is adorned with musical memorabilia and contains some pretty whacky furniture too – perfect for those looking for a more relaxed, eccentric venue. Elsewhere the Terrace room is more serious in its style, with neutral tones ideal for dressing to any theme. Both main party rooms are kitted out with PA systems and USB ports for all your technical needs.
The Shed is the most intimate of the venue’s spaces, ideal for smaller gatherings seating just 18 people but with direct access to the garden so you can fling open the doors on a warmer day. The patio garden itself is a large, tastefully decorated area with seated capacity for 130 people. The space also contains a covered area with TVs and an outdoor bar for shisha. With bunting and fairy lights aplenty it’s a quaint spot for a laid-back summertime party.
The in-house caterers offer a range of different food and beverage packages which they are happy to taper to your needs through private tasting sessions once your date has been confirmed.
