Zip World in North Wales has unveiled its new record-breaking zip line, Velocity 2.
With a steeper decline (now 20 degrees), riders can travel from 0 to 60mph in 10 seconds, before reaching speeds of up to 125mph.
The new zip line spans 1.5km – the longest in Europe – and now allows for four thrill seekers to ‘fly’ side by side through the rugged Welsh scenery, 500ft above Penrhyn Quarry.
It’s a better experience for spectators, too: Velocity 2 is located directly in front of the new Adventure Terminal’s viewing platform and gallery, which affords sweeping mountain vistas and can be set up for private drinks receptions for up to 60 guests.
The venue is also home to a 150-cover, bistro-style restaurant, perfect for larger groups.
