Seeking a new foodie venue for your next corporate outing? Look no further. The owners of exclusive manor house Huntsham Court have just opened a ‘restaurant with rooms’ near the Somerset border.

Set in a Grade II-listed building in the quaint village of Bampton, The Ginger Peanut is under the helm of award-winning chef Peter Mundy and fast becoming Devon’s new foodie destination.

The restaurant and adjoining bar can be hired exclusively for groups of up to 50 guests. If you’re after a more intimate setting, the venue’s two private dining rooms are ideal (6-20 capacity) – they have their own private entrance, too.

Guests can expect well-executed, locally sourced dishes such as handpicked crab salad with mango, or pork tenderloin with carrot and cumin purée. The wine selection is designed to complement the cuisine, but if you fancy a pint, ask for one of the local drafts at the bar.

Interiors feature calming pastel colours, tartan upholstery, wood panelling, solid oak floors and plenty of natural light. Upstairs, there are five simple, yet oh-so-cosy bedrooms too.
