At the swisher end of the ‘neighbourhood restaurant’ scale – and with a recently-awarded Michelin star to prove it – Kensington’s Launceston Place has been welcoming well-heeled locals since the
80s. A popular choice for weddings, its contemporary dining rooms are decked out with ornate mirrors, large fireplaces, comfortable soft furnishings and work from up-and-coming British artists. Exclusive hire of the restaurant accommodates 100 guests, while for more intimate weddings a private table for up to 12 guests is available in the Chef’s Office. The venue can also source suppliers such as florists, entertainment and AV equipment, and can organise a Champagne and canapé reception for guests upon their arrival, as well as a three-course wedding breakfast serving up modern British fare.
